I don't have access to a MAC, but I've been using Dropbox across many Windows and Linux (Ubuntu) installations for over a year now and it has not given any troubles.

I guess you could take a look at the Zotero documentation and see if there is a difference between Mac/PC versions of Zotero.

Hi, I am looking to use the same thing, I use both drop box and the syncing version of zotero. I wouldn't be able to write my dissertation without it.
However, the problem I see are 1) the changing of storage location, which has been dealt with here.
2) Working across platforms. Part of the attraction of zotero is that it can be used on linux mac and windows. However, I don't think my Windows zotero will like using the Mac zotero folder, or will it have no problem?

If you simply copy your existing Zotero folder into the new Dropbox and fix the location, I think you will be set...
